Standard Fees
My full-fee rate for new clients is $175 for a 50-minute individual or relationship counselling session ($265 for extended-length, 75 minute sessions) . Payment is accepted by cash, cheque, credit card, or Interac e-Transfer. For information on rates for group facilitation, teaching, family counselling, or other services, contact me.
Financial Accessibility
I am committed to providing counselling that is as accessible as possible to as many in the community as I can. As such, I offer services on a "sliding scale" basis when necessary. If you would like to work with me, but finances are a barrier for you, please let me know.
Reimbursement Options
Depending on your circumstance, the cost of our sessions may be covered by you insurance provider. Many extended health plans require you to pay for our sessions and then submit receipts for reimbursement. I am able to bill some insurers directly for our sessions. If you have coverage through one of the following, let me know prior to our session together so we can try to set up direct billing:
First Nations Health Authority - For folks eligible for services through the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), Health Benefits Program, our counselling sessions may be covered through one of FNHA's four mental health programs. For more information, please contact me, or visit the FNHA mental health services page.
GreenShield Canada, Canada Life (via TELUS eClaims), Manulife (via TELUS eClaims), Pacific BlueCross, or Sun Life - Extended health benefits programs purchased privately or offered through your employer or school.
Medavie Bluecross - For new migrants or refugees eligible for coverage under the Interim Federal Health Program. Check the program eligibility page to see if you may be covered.
If your benefits provider offers direct billing for counselling services, but isn’t listed here, please let me know, as I am open to exploring registration with other providers. Please note however, that I am not set up to accept direct payment for services through ICBC, WorkSafeBC, or the Crime Victims Assistance Program.
